1. The service

HomeVault is a web application for recording and tracking household utilities, insurance policies, subscriptions and finance arrangements, with reminders for upcoming renewals and optional document storage.

HomeVault is provided by WestieTech ("we", "us"). It is a record-keeping tool. It does not pay bills, manage accounts, contact providers or make changes on your behalf.

2. Your account

One account is for one person or household. Please do not share login credentials.

3. Plans and pricing

HomeVault offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

PlanPriceIncludes
Free£0Viewing an existing account. Adding new homes, utilities, insurance, subscriptions or finance records requires Premium
Monthly£1.99 / monthFull access to add and manage records
Yearly£18.99 / yearFull access, plus the Analytics dashboard
Lifetime£25.00 one-offFull access, plus Analytics, with no recurring charge

Analytics is available on the Yearly and Lifetime plans only.

"Lifetime" means for as long as we continue to operate HomeVault. It is not a guarantee that the service will run indefinitely — see §11 and §12.

4. Billing, renewal and cancellation

5. Your cancellation rights

As a UK consumer buying online you normally have 14 days to cancel and receive a refund, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

HomeVault is digital content supplied immediately. By subscribing and starting to use Premium straight away, you ask us to begin supply during the cancellation period and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once supply has begun.

That said, we would rather you were happy than technically bound. If HomeVault is not what you expected, contact support@homevault.uk within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including the right to a remedy if the service is not of satisfactory quality or as described.

6. Your content

Your data remains yours. You keep all rights in the records and documents you put into HomeVault.

You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display that content solely to provide the service to you — for example, storing an uploaded policy document and showing it back to you. This licence exists only to run HomeVault, ends when you delete the content or your account, and does not permit us to use your content for any other purpose.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Please keep your own copies of anything important; HomeVault is not a backup service.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Security researchers welcome. If you find a vulnerability, please report it to support@homevault.uk rather than exploiting it. We will not pursue action against good-faith research that respects other users' data and gives us a reasonable chance to fix the issue.

8. Not financial advice

HomeVault records information you enter and performs simple arithmetic on it. It does not provide financial, insurance, tax or legal advice, and is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Totals, spending breakdowns and renewal projections are for your own reference only. They depend entirely on what you enter and may not reflect what a provider actually charges. Always check statements and policy documents from your provider before making a decision, and take professional advice where the stakes warrant it.

Reminders are a convenience, not a guarantee. Do not rely on HomeVault as your only means of tracking a renewal or payment date — email can be delayed, filtered or fail to arrive. You remain responsible for your own bills, policies and deadlines.

9. Availability and support

We aim to keep HomeVault available and working well, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates and faults may cause downtime, and we may occasionally change or remove features.

Support is by email at support@homevault.uk. We aim to respond within a few working days. HomeVault is a small operation and there is no guaranteed response time.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law:

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms do not affect.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using HomeVault at any time. To close your account and have your data erased, email support@homevault.uk from your registered address — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law. Except in serious cases we will contact you first and give you a chance to put things right.

If we discontinue HomeVault entirely, we will give registered users at least 30 days' notice by email and a means of exporting your data. Where we do this and you hold an unexpired paid plan, we will refund the unused portion. For Lifetime plans, we will refund on a fair pro-rata basis over the 3 years from purchase.

12. Changes to the service and these terms

We may update these terms as HomeVault develops. The "last updated" date above shows the current version. For material changes — particularly to pricing or your rights — we will email registered users at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use HomeVault after changes take effect means you accept them. If you do not, you may cancel and we will refund any unused paid period.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your local courts.
